About June

Design is a process of a problem-solving. Over the past 20 years, I used to solve performance problems between medium and human as a graphic designer.

Now I am learning how to solve performance problems on a broader scale, in which I find a great deal of motivation to challenge it.

I am pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Instructional Technology.

I found my interests in instructional design while working on an eLearning course as a graphic designer. Working closely with an instructional designer, I learned that instructional design is inline with my passion, making things better. When I realized that the goal of learning is to have a change in behavior, and the fact that my expertise in graphic design can be useful in the process, there was nothing that could stop me from going back to school.

My ongoing learning plan

My extensive work experience in marketing team taught me a lot about creating an effective strategy. However, to become a competent instructional designer and a performance consultant, I feel the need to catch up with learning theories and recent findings from relevant research fields.

My field of interest:

  • Human Performance Technology
  • eLearning / distance learning
  • Workplace trainings
  • Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR)

I would also broaden my network with more professionals in the HPT field, so that I could get a better idea of how they work, and about exactly what to expect from various roles that the graduates from my degree takes.
